JL Smokehouse

Interesting story about JL Smokehouse.
My uncle all the way from Alabama called me one day and we got to talking like we normally do. He’s a backwoods type of guy. Still lives in a shack with barely any electricity. He lives on a dirt road. Lets say its WAY different from the paved streets of Phoenix!
One thing my uncle knows about is barbecue. Every time I show up he has some type of meat that is unlike anything I’ve tried before. My uncle is a true Alabama smoke master if nothing else.
Anyway, my uncle and I got to talking and he blurbs out. “You know what nephew … you heard of a JL Barbecue. It’s over there by you in Phoenix. That place is the real deal! You been down there yet?”
I had been there not but a few weeks earlier! I was baffled as to how he would know that. His response was “Boy I can smell good barbecue from anywhere!”
I’ve only been to the one far south so that is the location I’ll put up here. Get yourself down there and try some.

I advise to get there early because they run out of stuff!!!
