Zeta’s Grill had me from the first time I ate there. The way the food is served really drives home a traditional Mediterranean feeling. When I go I usually get a few plates. The Hummus is clearly home made, seasoned with peppers, paprika, olives and oil. Served with pita. But not a flat pita ….
Pita at Zeta’s is warm and puffed up. Like a cloud of wheaty, yeasty delicious. You tear the pita into pieces and scoop up the creamy hummus and it is just amazing. Without a doubt worth the drive for a relaxed lunch date. Maybe hit up Westgate while you’re that way.
Back to Zeta’s Grill. They have beer and what looks like select after dinner drinks.
Baklava comes in two-bite size pieces in containers of about nine pieces. Other Lebanese desserts adorn a bakery table set between the kitchen and the dining room. Be careful, sweets being so accessible makes taking dessert to go super easy.
I’ve ordered to go before too … two or three times actually. Each time it was packed well and I got everything I ordered. Again, great little place Zeta’s Grill is. If you’re around Avondale make it a stop.
