La Cocina Económica is on my regular round of places for dinner. I am not shy about telling people that I have fallen in love with their Enchiladas. The flavor of the enchiladas and La Cocina Económica is like no other place I have ever tasted. Period.
There are many ways to have enchiladas. Mole sauce, Green Chile, etc, etc, but La Cocina Económica has come up with a flavor that is truly unique. I wish I could put my finger on exactly what spice or seasoning they use but I can’t.
Aroma leads me to believe it is something earthy, like cumin. Only problem is the enchilada sauce doesn’t have that specific, uniquely cumin taste. Possibly a mix of cumin with another spice to clean up the gritty flavor. Whatever the flavor is, I’m quite positive it doesn’t come in a can because I’ve tried all those.
While you are chewing these new found enchilada delights the fore mentioned aromas continue to enlighten your brain cavity. Enchiladas don’t normally pick you up like these do but you really feel good while you are eating them. Not to go over board, it’s an experience you need to have.
So enchilada connoisseurs get ready for something new in the enchilada plate at La Cocina Económica.
